JRT RDF Extensions For Event Descriptions
We use RDF/RSS feeds to describe events that are going to happen at the theatre To allow other sites to extract information from the feed to be able to intelligently reuse it we add some additional information within our own jrtev (JRT Event) namespace.
There are currently two tags within this namespace. The items all apply to items within the feed.
The information could possibly have been handled using a combination of hcalendar and another microformat, but we did not appear to be handle the repeating sets of information using those formats.
Tags
price
The price tag contains pricing information for an event. This is freeform text. As we are in the UK this normally includes pound signs, which may be appropriately escaped for the character set. There may be zero or one price tags per item.
perfstart
The perfstart tag contains the start date and time of an event. The date time information should be a valid ISO8601 timestamp, including timezone information. There may be one or more perfstart tags per item (one for each performance).
