York Stage Musicals perform three shows a year at The Joseph Rowntree Theatre (October, February & June) & one at The Grand Opera House in September.

Created by the merger of Shipton Theatre Company and Rowntree Musical Theatre (formerly Rowntree Youth) YSM are one of the best amateur groups in the York area performing a mix of Classic shows: West Side Story, South Pacific; Premieres: We Will Rock You, Jekyll & Hyde and Plays with music: Stepping Out, Brassed Off.
