The Northern Musical Theatre Company
The Northern Musical Theatre Company was formed in 2005 by Bev Jones and his wife, Lesley. After 40 years experience throughout Europe, and no fewer than 420 musical shows, as a Director, Performer, Arranger, and Musician, Bev can claim to be the most successful person in the York musical theatre world.
After 30 years at the helm of York Light Opera Company, this new company can offer both amateur and professional productions allowing Bev the option to provide the very best entertainment of the highest standard, with the cast of his choice. His recent youth production of Les Miserables at The Grand Opera House was a huge success, and a testament of his ability to obtain the very best from performers, whatever their age!
Bev aims to produce 2 or 3 shows a year, with Showtime proving very popular last year, here at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, and hopefully for years to come, together with major musical productions at both The Grand Opera House and The Theatre Royal. His hilarious Broadway version of Pirates of Penzance will be a highlight for next summer!
